Las Vegas Nevada is an internationally renowned major resort city for gambling, shopping, fine dining, and spectacular entertainment. It is also a major center for tourism, business, and government services. The city is home to many of the world’s largest hotels and casinos, and is known for its nightlife.

The city is the seat (1909) of Clark county in southeastern Nevada, and is home to some 583,756 residents. It is the 28th-largest city in the United States, with a population density of 4,600 people per square mile.
Located in the Mojave Desert, the city is known for its casinos and is affectionately called Sin City. The city is popular for its nightlife and is also the host of a number of conventions and festivals.
It is the home of three professional sports teams: the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces and the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.

The best time to visit the city is between spring and fall, when temperatures are comfortable and there aren’t too many tourists. It’s also a great time to explore the desert botanical gardens.
There are also a few museums worth visiting while in the area, including the Las Vegas History Museum and the Nevada State Museum-Las Vegas, which are both free. The History Museum is a fascinating place to learn about the city’s evolution, while the museum’s “Showgirl Wall” puts the spotlight on the women who made Las Vegas famous.
If you’re looking for a unique way to explore the city, try riding on the Deuce, a 24-hour bus that runs along Las Vegas Boulevard. The bus stops at every 15-20 minutes and costs $8.
The city is also a regional hub for rail traffic, with two railroads serving the region. The Union Pacific Railroad and Amtrak operate lines that connect Las Vegas to Salt Lake City and Los Angeles.
