When you’re done at the museum, you can visit the Neon Boneyard, where many of the signs have been preserved and restored. You can walk through this area at any time, but be sure to visit it at night to see the brightest and best signs.
Shopping is a huge draw in the city, with the world-famous Las Vegas Boulevard offering everything from inexpensive souvenirs to high-end luxury fashion boutiques. You can also find a wide array of food options along the Strip and in Fremont Street, including restaurants, bars and nightclubs that cater to every taste and budget.
You can even try your hand at a casino game if you’re feeling brave enough. The glitzy casinos of the Strip offer high-quality games and are great for beginners.
In addition to its bustling casinos and nightclubs, the city offers a wide variety of cultural and educational opportunities, from the Smith Center for the Performing Arts to the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. The city’s location means that you can easily travel to nearby natural areas such as Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire. The two parks are home to hiking, horseback riding and bike trails, as well as rock climbing. You can also take in a spectacular sunset over the desert landscape from either park, which is an excellent way to get out of the heat and enjoy some fresh air.
